We are here to make this facility as safe and secure an environment as we possibly can. We want everyone to know their patient is safe and secure!
“The Guest Services Staff at the C.S. Mott Children's and Women's Hospital play an important role in providing safety and security for our patients (most of whom are too young to protect themselves), families and staff. They also provide the first impression of the caring environment we want visitors to feel in their other (and equally important) role as customer service ambassadors."

How it works
Security Screening staff ask visitors to provide a picture ID, which is scanned into the computer, producing a personalized identification badge for each visitor. We conduct infection control and visitor restriction screening to protect our patients.
Keeping our patients safe is a team effort. We all must do our part. Anyone entering the facility must present ID and be screened each time they enter the facility or the floor. Even if you have been in 10 times that day, circumstances change and we need to check--this includes faculty and staff. If anyone is ill please answer the infection control questions truthfully. Last but not if you see something not right let us know immediately. Together we can keep them safe.
